Josephsc,
Glad someone is in touch with DEVEK. Next time you see them remind them that they still owe me $7000 that I LOANED them. It was promised to be paid back in two months...that was two years ago.
I plan on stopping bye their shop or house when I am there in a few months.

Just pursue it in small claims court.

I first met Marc and Susan when I brought them a dead 928 S4 I had purchased from a serviceman in Hawaii and had shipped to CA. They performed nothing short of a miracle reviving a car that had sat in the hot, humid Hawaiian sun and weather for more than 6 years without ever being started; while there were some issues over the time and expenses involved, I have always fround Marc and Susan to be engaging, sincere and responsive. Based on my personal interactions with them both, they would have my complete and unconditional support. I missed them at the Sharks at the Lake event and hope that they are not staying away from any 928 events because of some perception that they are not wanted or appreciated. I have found the 928 world to be rather qwerky and full of strong, if not unusual, personalities. I have enjoyed my interactions with Marc and Susan and hope that they will keep in touch and stay interested in the 928 world. A person can work all their lives to create a reputation that can be damaged by one act - let's look at the bigger picture because everyone can have a bad day, or have a bad or negative interaction. You know the old saying, "those who live in glass houses should dress in the basement." Cast not the first stone....

It is nice to hear of a good experience for a change.
Unfortunately, it seems you are in the minority.

I was a long time friend and spent a few times a both houses and the shop. I call all the time, but my calls are ignored. I am now in Alabama, so don't know if court is wourth the time. I may contact a collections agency and have them go after it.
