Handbrake in the way...
Sorry if I'm asking a load of stupid question as new comer...
Anyway... I search about handbrake mod and didn't find anything conclusive...
Anybody moved the handbrake? I find it currently horribly in my way when I get in and out of the car. Is it possible to put it in the middle?

Possible ?? not really and certainly not practical . You might try adjusting it so it engages lower....just be sure it releases completely.

It's maybe at how high it engage... but really engaged is almost 45 degrees. Which is almost impossible to get in or out of the car without bumping your leg on it.
Even when I don't fully engine it and leave it parallel to the seat level, it's still likely to bump into it.

You get used to it.
I once drove a car that had the parking brake on the side like the 928, but it would go down when you let go, maybe a Fiero? You would pull it back up and push the thumb in to release, then let it pull down again.
Maybe you could modify it to work like that.

It should not be in your way at all.. something is wrong - post a picture of how it looks?
When adjusted correctly you won't worry about it - its another almost unique thing about the car that certainly doesn't need to be fixed by relocating it... just fixed.
Before I bought my first 928 - I thought it was an odd position too - now I think its a really good idea...

I like it and it helps to keep the seat bolsters in good shape. Adjusted properly it should just be level with the seat bolster when engaged. The 944 and 914 are the same way so Porsche liked the design for a long time, kind of wish they still used it. And ignition switches should be on the left too.

Mark, just remove the rear spoiler and drive the 928 backwards.
Don't think anyone's dabbled with rear engine front drive yet.

The later GTS hand brake handle bends down more towards the floor to stay out of the way better. If it's adjusted correctly it doesn't come up much.
