Yea Bob I am sure glad I sold that 911 that I had ... But it was an $800 car, that I sold for $12,000... My hair is so long it is hard to tell where it grows from

Lack of being able to follow through on promises, IMHO. Plus, many customers felt they were lied to about purchases/service/etc (including myself).

Yeah, you get burned a few times, and you start ordering your stuff from other sources.
Typical case of great technical 928 skills, but poor business skills.
Some 928 businesses stay in business, other ones don't.
So obviously some of them have better business skills than others.
But Devek built some amazing cars and engines, and developed some great parts.
And they were really nice people who were cool enough to host Devek Days on a yearly basis.
Hopefully they will stick around the 928 scene and still build some cool stuff now and then.
But running a business is hard work, and takes a lot of time, money, and manpower.

A 928 business with "better business skills" - sounds like an oxymoron to me...
If we had better business skills, wouldn't we be in a business where we could make lots of money for the same effort?

Yeehaw, they're comin out of the wood work now! I haven't seen posts from some of you guys in a very long time. I guess all one has to do is throw the name DEVEK in the title of a thread and the whole community comes to a stop to see what the stink is all about.
Hmmm, speaking of stink, now where were we?...mussells, fish taco's, crushed nuts...
Oh and Red, sounds like you may have some sand in your shorts.

Yeah the website is over 2yrs old. I wanted to buy product 1, here's the description: Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consetetur sadipscing elitr, sed diam nonumy eirmod tempor invidunt ut labore et dolore magna aliquyam erat, sed diam voluptua.
I think their downfall was when they started to take on the other lines, they grew to big to fast. Things were good at first I think, and I believe some folks from the other forums here on Rennlist worked for them (viperbob and swanders) which was cool. But it seemed that not long after that everyone stated what happened to Devek
