The mirror, or the entire thing attached to the car?

The base seems to be okay it is the mirror and cover it broke where it swivels. Glass is fine and it just seems to be atached by the wires that move it

There's a hollow bolt that has teh wires passing through. Threads into the top flag section. Fight the spring to get the bolt to thread back in.

Allen bolts get the base off the door skin. TAPE A TOWEL AND/OR CARDBOARD TO THE DOOR TO PROTECT IT WHILE YOU WORK.

Locate the bolt head, it's the part with the wires running through it. Find a screwdriver that will fit inside the hex of the bolthead but still allow the wires to pass through next to the blade. Hold the flag head in one hand, align the base with the flag, use the screwdriver to push the bolt up through the base, into the threads on the flag section. Not much turning available so it will take a few tries at different rotation points to get it started. Put a drop of loc-tite (or your wife's nail polish) on the end of the bolt threads to lock the bolt in place. The bolt slowly works it's way loose every time you rotate the flag to put the cover on, wash or detail the car. A little something to hold the threads will keep it there a bit longer. BTDT a few times now, finally added the loc-tite to keep it in there.
