Default VA/MD/PA and other central atlantic states to SITM what are your plans?

When are you leaving and how are planning on driving down to NC.

My plan was leave sometime between 10am and noon on Friday. Anyone wanna meet up at my place and head down? I am about 10min from RT 66 and Gumspring road.

Looks like some of the guys from further north per the Boston thread are meeting up at MM1 for a BRP drive at 9am but that's a little earlier than I was hoping for.

Google map estimates:
- 384 mi – about 6 hours 45 mins

How many in your group? I will be coming down 81 from PA.
Perhaps we can meet off 81 near Front Royal.

I'm leaving on Friday morning 9 AM from Bel Air MD. Parhaps we can meet up at a rest stop on 81 or where 66 and 81 meet?

How about meeting noon Friday near 66 and 81.

The question is are we taking 81 or BRP.

There's a thread linking closure reports on parts of the BRP.

Dan,

Right now it only looks like little O'l me. Not many others have posted up, I am still waiting to see who decides that they are going to be able to make it for the weekend.

Wayne,

That would be great to catch up with you again. I almost picked up the phone and started calling everyone today but I figured that I wouldn't try to hound you guys.

I am still waiting for some word from Glenn to see what his plan is as well as others.

Again, looks like Beerfish and Fraggle are headed to Waynesboro for the early BRP drive down, I was just hoping to hit 81 then cut in when we got south far enough. I still have a few issues to iron out on my car so I figured that a long, non-stop trip was best suited for me

The Nuvi is locked in for destination Banner Elk NC.

Ready to go!

Michael

EDIT - Found Glenns adgenda and from the looks of it he is shooting for the AM run as well with the Boston guys.

Michael:

81 is fine with me—need to save my clutch.
When more folks confirm, we can determine a more exact meeting place/time.

I plan on leaving here today at 130PM to meet up at Front Royal. I'm taking the 88 at the last minute, received the wrong trans cooling line yesterday, no Strosek. I am doing rotors and pads today, also found too much front wheel bearing play so I'm working on that also.

Wait? Glenn? Who are you meeting up with in Front Royal? Or are you just on your way to Waynesboro with the Boston crew?

I'll be running the BRP milepost 1 tomorrow morning, Saturday. I got stuck finishing a project for work, eck.
So, if anyone else is into Banner Elk on Saturday, let me know.
