Boston to SITM, stopping in Waynesboro thursday pm:
The Boston group, (me S4 5 speed, Bill '85 euro 5 speed, Chris '90 GT, Adam S4 5 speed, Chris G. S4 5 speed, Rick '82 5 speed and Tass '89 GT) probably seven of us this year, will be coming down starting thursday morning. We will meet up 6/5 thursday 8am at the first rest stop west of rte 495 on rte 90 in the middle of MA.
We finish the thursday drive at the end of Skyline Drive/beginning of Blue Ridge Parkway in Waynesboro VA. If the weather has been good, we get off 81 at Front Royal and drive all 108 twisty miles of skyline drive before reaching the hotel (otherwise take interstate 81 to 64)
Hotel info: Comfort Inn Waynesboro, 15 Windigrove Drive 22980. (540)932-3060
The rate is $76.49 a night, split a room with your buddy to make it cheaper. There is a restaurant next door that is open late for a sharky dinner. I have a room reserved, so get one too. They have a lot of rooms for June 5th.
Friday it's a 5 minute drive to mile marker 1 of BRP to meet with any other 928ers, 9am. Then it's 285 miles of gorgeous scenic BRP to get down to SITM.
SO: bring a 2-way radio and meet us all gassed up either up in MA, at the Comfort Inn, or at mile marker 1 of BRP Friday 9am.
Also: bring a fuse chart for your year 928, spare fuses and fuel pump relay for your car. Also do a brake fluid flush if it's older than 1 year. Also make sure your 928 is road ready and nothing is going to fall off like a belly pan or tired exhaust hangers. I bring tools, fuses, relays, and assorted nuts and bolts.
SITM '08!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm pretty excited, but so is everybody else!!

I've been reluctantly relocated to Virginia, though my 928 is still on the Cape and still have a house there. Have to contemplate flying up and driving down just for yucks. Still haven't done that t-belt porken service though..probably not too bright to go on a major roadtrip unless I square that away somehow in the interim. And time is already short. Sigh, maybe Lars is smahtah.

Last year I signed up for SITM and reserved a room, but at the last minute decided my 928 just wasn't ready (bought it in March, lots to do). I did get to meet some of you guys at MM1 on the BRP in the morning (really exciting- posted a short video of you pulling in and leaving), and I want to repeat an invite I mentioned then: anyone who gets in to Waynesboro early enough and is so inclined is invited to a BBQ on our farm Thursday evening. We live very close to Waynesboro - check a map of VA- we are within a mile of the Crozet exit (107) off I64. It won't be fancy, but you will get to see even more of the beautiful Virginia countryside. PM me if you think you can make it and I'll get it all together, send you directions, etc. In case of very rainy weather, I'll just join you for dinner in Waynesboro, but hey, that won't happen - it's gonna be beautiful down here!
Then on Friday I plan to join the entourage to SITM - I made my reservation months ago, been working on the 928, making a pest of myself at home etc etc. I can't wait! Hope to hear from you guys soon!

Will check Jadz's plans. He and I were considering caravan. My wife intends be driving the 86, as well. May miss your group, depends on when we can leave Richmond.
