82 Auto tranny interchanges with what other years???
Will a 84s auto tranny work in a 82 model? Will the TT be the same??
What years match up to the 82 US version car tranny wise??

78-82 is the 3 speed in USA , 83-83 4 speed ,85-86 4 speed , 87-88 , 89, 90-91, 92-95 4 speed . The torque tube length is not the same for a 3 spd and 4 spd.

You can ( and should) put an 84 4-speed into an 82. But, you will need the 84 torque tube, 84 shifter cable and the 84 transmission fluid lines. But, The improvement is HUGE. Don't think about it.....just DO it!
