Don't worry about safety. Trust your shark. If you've maintained it properly you have no worries. Drove 10 hours here in my 81 and then went on a drive in some really good twisties. I just didn't want to stop driving it! The 928 is an absolutley amazing car. 10 hours and I didn't want to stop.....go figure.........

Jack is correct, just trust it. I am heading to Charlotte from Allentown Thursday for dinner with old buddy I haven't seen for 2 years before heading over to Banner Elk Friday afternoon. Then Sunday, leaving Banner Elk and driving to Cooperstown NY, about 720 miles for business meetings Monday and Tuesday. The car will love it, and so will I. Just hope the radar detector detects!!!

There is a group that usually meets at the head of the BRP Friday morning and caravans down, there is a post somewhere here on it.

Thanks for the words of encouragement. I've had my shark for 2 years and this will be my longest trip by far. It's a good car and yes I've done the proper maintenance $$$. I really don't have the time but am considering making the time to take this pilgrimage. Besides, with only 49K on the clock, I need to drive it more!

Since I will be driving alone, thought it would be fun to go with a group and make some new friends on the way.
