Sean...I'm in Stillwater. If I could convince the group down there to help me out I'd just drive down on a Friday night or Saturday morning. It seems like the DF Dub guys are a helpful bunch and there are a few things on the supercharged 85 I'd like to get sorted out.

My current daily driver is a '95 740il with 228k miles, original drivetrain (never got the alusil recall swap) and runs awesome. Just replaced the fuel filter today. Pixels are jacked up in the radio and the dash, radio doesn't work, trim pieces falling off, rear hydraulic suspension leaks ATF like a bitch, 1 exhaust gasket leaks, valve covers leak really bad, few speakers are blown, but hey! It runs great and I'm getting 18mpg in that heavy beast!

I say get an 840. There was an 850 manual trans for sale here for $7500 2 weeks ago, still have the guys info if he has it, and he says it runs and drives w/clear title.

/end hijack

Nice buy, Jeremy! Now tighten up the slack in your trans cable at the linkage and get rid of that early-shift problem
