Default In line fuel pressure guage

Has anyone got an inline fuel pressure guage installed under the hood? If so what type and where in line is it installed?
Cheers
Mike

Most people install it on the end of the passenger fuel rail. There's really nothing too special about the gauge. I'd get one that goes upto 100psi. You will need an adapter to adapt the threads, but I beleive Carl sells one with the adapter, but then you have to pay overseas shipping.

Good luck.

IMO it's just another chance for a leak unless you are messing with an adjustable FPR a lot (and why?)
It's more interesting to know what your fuel pressure is at full load. When I last did this I used a mechanical oil pressure gauge adapted to the fuel rail and temporarily stuck on the cowl.

Hi Mike

If it helps I am about to fit a Fuel Transducer to the right hand (from front of car) rail...

It will send a signal to my Maxx Extreme Race controller, so I will be able to tell you pressures at whatever revs you wish ...

If not Autometer...do 2 sorts of Fuel pressure gauges..

1, Mechanical means a long pipe containing fuel running into gauge in car (NOT a good idea for safety and it will FAIL an MOT if they pick it up)

2, Electrical with a transducer (similar to mine) that fits on fuel rail and sends electrical signal to inside mounted gauge...

2 is your best bet but expensive....

All the best Brett

I think that it is easy enough to find the gauges almost anywhere however I got the Lindsy Racing kit. Comes with a pre-drilled/threaded fuel rail endap, 2 90deg elbows and the guage, autometer is what they are currently shipping IIRC and not VDO as shown on their site.

Carl sells a good product; doesn't leak and shows pressure for diagnosis of any fuel related probs.

It bolts to the LH fuel rail (standing at the front of the car)............I've had mine there for many kms.........no issues.

Just got one in the mail today. It is a VDO 100-psi and came with hardware to install it on a 928 fuel rail. They are probably cheaper else where.

I've got one almost brand new from 928 motorsports. I'll sell it for $50 + shipping. Used it for about a week for diagnosis.

My 90GT is for sale.

Still can't believe that no one makes a kit for CIS to make tuning much easier than dealing with the diagnostic dial indicators.
