thanks guys. Yes Mike I do have the cover plates on the backside of the heads. The passengerside cover is my worst leaker. Leaks even worse than the pan. I tightened all the bolts on both plates and the OP got my fingers crossed that it will work. It already seems better. I didn't notice any oil burning smell on the way home. Jason

Yes, if this is what you are asking....
There are oil channels up under the cam gear covers (behind the mickey mouse ears).
Notorious leakers, esp drivers side. Nearly impossible to verify, as it runs down under the cam covers and timing belt covers and discharges near the pan. Need some special very thick o-rings, plus, cam shaft lipseal, plus another more conventional but large dia o-ring--- for each side of car. The large O-ring on mine was so baked-in that I thought it was a carbon ring, had to break it out of the groove with a needle pick and hammer.
Is that one of the things you are asking?

Chris, Not sure if we're talking the same thing. The covers I'm talking about are on the backside of the heads at the firewall. Is that where your talking about?
