dressed up for SITM!

They are Fikse FM/10's, 17x9 in front and 17x10 in the rear, running 255/40 and 275/40 Bridgestone Pole Positions. I like the look of 17's better than 18's, a little more tire wrapped around them. I've noticed the ride is *slightly* harsher with them, but nothing most people would notice and I've got an upgraded suspension anyway. Just drives great, I love them!

Very, very nice. I can't believe that those are 17's. There's not a classier looking set of wheels for our cars than FM/10's, IMO.
They really fit your car proportionately, and the new look with that color

Yes it does. These are my absolute favorite wheels of all time and when the chance came to buy them I jumped without thinking. My wife's first reaction was "What?!!?!?!" But then she said she really likes them.
BTW the tires are in excellent shape, but the rears do look like they have seen a burnout or two....

Cleaning looks like it will be just as much fun as the one's on my S4 but it's well worth it. Yours look great and your fingers won't hurt for more than a few days afterwards.
So when are you leaving for SITM and what route are you taking? Maybe we can travel together.

That sounds sooo familiar. I never even got to the point of my wife actually admitting that she likes the wheels that I bought. In fact she wouldn't have even noticed a set of 18k plated 22" spinners on my car until the card statement came in.
I equate most wives' enthusiasm for our 'new shoes' to our enthusiasm for their new shoes.
In most wives' defense, ours tend to be a bit pricier (unless you're Ferdinand Marcos....)

Those look awesome Mike!
Nothing like a wheel with the Porsche Sport Classic look for a 928, or any P car for that matter. Tried to put my Kinesis wheels on the wife's '91 for SITM, but they won't fit without flairing the fenders, which she didn't like the idea of. She was so bummed when I showed her she blurted out "well you'll have to sell your shark now!!" wtf?? I even offered to buy her a similar Sport Classic look of Kinesis or Fiske in 17s to fit her S4, but then she pulled the "don't want to spend that kind of money right now on it" bs! Something about the cost of gas or other rational thought! We'll see, maybe at some point I'll suprise her.
Heck now that I think about it, I offered to buy her a set of Sport Classics last year, like the ones you have on your wife's white/red S4 Mike, & she passed! women!
Of course, I wanted her to be a car chick & she is agreeing to go to SITM with our 25th anniversary being just two weeks later!!

Bingo! I was wondering if anyone would notice. Yep Sterling's old wheels, fitting to have them on another brown(ish) car, and they will attend SITM even if his car can't. And just so everyone knows, it was a wonderful transaction. Sterling is a gentleman and a scholar, going out of his way to make sure I knew every (tiny) little thing about them and then making sure the shipment went well. I have *never* seen a set of wheels packaged/wrapped so well and they arrived in absolutely perfect condition. I'm still pinching myself. Sterling you are a class act, thank you very much.
