Hi Beach,
Before you jump tell us about your car. 1987 S4?
Someone can then best advise on which injectors to use just to be safe.

ok my car, its 1989 gt with 88000 miles in black. i am at present replacing all high tension engine electrics and then will do the fuel side of things. i have a bit of jerking when travelling at low revs so trying to get rid of that problem. i have had some general electric faults that i have now sorted that seem the norm for these, and thanks to a good read of this forum for the last 2 weeks have now sorted.

The newer 4 pintle injectors did seem to give my 928 a slight HP boost...or at least it feels that way...however DO NOT install the injectors with the supplied lower O rings....(ask how I know)...as a 928 does not run well with 8 vac leaks.... Just order them from roger.....the correct ones I ended up with were about 16.5mm or .65 inch

Just as follow up / reference for others...

The 19# Ford Motorsports injectors M-9593-C302 are NOT 4 hole pintle injectors...

Just so you know...

Mine arrived today from Summit, so it was the first thing I checked, but alas they are single hole, needle style injectors...
No doubt they will still be a vast improvement over my 20yr old Bosch units...

FWIW, I think that the Bosch PN for the 19 lb "design III" four-hole injectors is 0280155710. I am not sure what the Ford part number is for this exact part, but I don't think that it is 9593C302. There are some other Bosch yellow top 19 lb injectors listed with different part numbers, but I don't know what the differences might be.

Five0 Motor Sports has them on their website: http://www.fiveomotorsport.com/Injector_SetsFORD.asp

I just bought a set of four-hole 30 lb injectors (Ford Racing M-9593-BB302/Bosch 0280155759). These have a one piece all plastic body that is more narrow than the earlier parts. Hopefully I will get around to installing them soon.

Iceman/RET - If I have correctly interpreted your information, there are two different types of injectors on the Five0 Motor Sports website(http://www.fiveomotorsport.com/Injector_SetsFORD.asp) :

1st set are the single hole, listed as '19lbs/hr Yellow Top' @ $305.50

2nd set are the 4 hole, listed as 'Use the Design III in place of our Yellow Top Upgrade - Bosch p/n 0280155710-F6VE' @ $339.50

Iceman/RET can you confirm?

This may have been covered before, but what's the power gain with 19 lb injectors and shark tuning to balance the A/F Ratios?

I'll find out in due course, but I suspect it's hard to put an absolute value on it as there are a number of other contributing factors such as MY and other performance mods. I think it's resonable to say that replacing the injectors is a PM job, that we can update to a newer, more efficient design is a bonus.

I know my injectors need some loving... but if these things are a direct drop in, I know where my stimulus check is going. I also am a little worried about gas mileage though after this install.

By the way, what is the part number for those Ford Racing 4-hole design injectors?

Righto - I've just spoken to FiveO and they have confirmed that the injectors described as '19lb/hour Yellow Top' and '1987-91 Porsche 928, Cross Referenced, Direct Replacement', both priced at $305.50 are a) the same injector with different coloured bodies and b) both the four hole design. The Design III are a newer, slightly more efficient design, but they wouldn't comment as to 928compatibility. The ones from Summit are the single hole design.

I'm going to go ahead and purchase the the 4 hole Yellow Tops from FiveO and will let you know what turns up - as they will be shipped to the UK it will be a week or so....

the Design III's work great in a 928. i've had them in 2 or 3 years now.

they do have to be modified slightly to fit.
