S4 Injectors
Hi, can someone please confirm for me that the below 19Lb Ford injectors along with a Porsche seal kit (928.110.904.00) is suitable for replacing my std 20yr old injectors
Thanks!

Are these the 4 hole type? The injectors should be plug and play after replacing the lower O ring. Use some Dow Corning 111 on the O rings before installation this keeps them soft and aids in installation

Great! Thanks for the response guy's
I guess that they are 4 hole, they are the only 19Lb advertised on the Ford Racing website... but I'm not 100% certain...
Is there an online store somewhere where I can buy just the seals/o-rings? (the part number John quoted)
As the Porsche kit includes pintle cap and 2 other seals that I guess I won't need.
Thanks

Ben, I just put the four hole 19 lb injectors in my GT. I called the Ford Racing tech line to find out what the difference was between the regular and the racing injectors and they told me they were the same. I even called back another time to confirm it. What this means is that any ford design II, 4 hole 19 lb injector that look like our stock injectors will work. This opens up a lot of other possibilities and places to purchase, such as ebay. The top o-rings work fine but you need to change the bottom ones. Roger Tyson just made these available and he's selling them at a very reasonable price. The 4 hole injectors have made a big difference in my GT and I highly recommend them.

Ben the Bosch P/N I quoted was also the full seal kit....... not just the lower seal you need to change.
i.e. it is the direct equivalent of the Porsche # you quoted.
My understanding is that the "Ford" injectors are made by Bosch.

Great info, thanks cfc928gt, seems I need to pull my thumb out and contact Roger then... he's got a few other parts I'm after... PorKen's products, speedo gear etc.... and I've been meaning to get these for a while now!
As for the injectors... Peter and StratfordShark are you sure they are not 4 hole... I seem to recall a post from Bill Ball? that stated something like the pintle cap is still just 1 hole but they 'spray' from 4 smaller holes under the cap....????
In any case, it seems everyone is happy with the Ford injectors, so I'll be ordering Monday I guess
Thanks all for your input!

Will bow to Bill's greater knowledge here - have no idea what's under that cap!
Anyway they work very nicely. Ever since I installed them she starts first time, every time, hot or cold.

if you get the 4 hole injectors it will be evident by looking at the spray tip if they are indeed 4 or 1 holers, the 4 hole pintle caps are a bit bigger on the spray area so to increase the spray pattern of the 4 holers. The single hole has a small ID pintle cap. I have the 4 hole injectors in my 88 and they seem to work great easy starting and faster throttle response, I never did compare the fuel mileage

I have 1000 of the correct O rings sitting in front of me and will offer them for $2.50 each or a set of 8 for $20 including Priority shipping within the US.
They are Viton (best compaterbility with fuel) and 8mm x 4.5mm.

The 4-hole injectors are disc type versus the single hole, pintle type. FWIR, the disc type's moving parts are lighter, and more quickly respond to the LH. This can make a better idle. The spray patterns are different.
IMO, injectors are a wear item. New 4-hole cost about the same or less than rebuilding (mine were $150, brand new from eBay), and work better. I think it is one reason my new S³ with Fords, dynos higher than my old, with rebuilds.
