Default Pre-SITM checklist

I leave a week from today so I'm going thru my final walkthru on the car, I'm gonna share as a reminder of some things...

today: oil change, brake flush, installed a new sway bar bracket, checked all fluid levels, inspected tires for wear/pressure, state inspection... still need to double check alignment later in the week

this past weekend I also installed the new pod, steering wheel, hatch carpet, front mats, drivers arm rest, vacuumed interior, double checked operation of all electricals

I just realized I have a week to go and almost nothing to fix... that's a 1st
see ya'll soon

I'm getting a few things done also.

Had a new windshield put in today, Sigla w/ antenna, very nice.

X-pipe w/ no cats coming in Friday!! Not sure about the mufflers yet, may leave the stock ones on.

Also, a new 930S steering wheel should be here soon.

Really looking forward to SITM.

Lets see, I beefed the trailer with extra c channels, welded a winch, put a floor on the front section, put new fenders, painted the thing yellow, painted the floor boards black, rewired the whole thing with heavy gauge wire, installed a 3 to 2 wire converter, installed a break away kit, built an additional ramp since the car is pretty darn low, bought 4 heavy duty tie down straps, welded 4 d-rings, fixed the axle brakes etc.

Oops, probably you are asking about the 928. I guess I will polish it this weekend. Maybe put some fresh Blue brake fluid and replace the seal on the brake container. Other than that, my family is ready to hit the road.

Rixter,
Good list, but don't you live like 1/2 hour away from SITM?

I changed the oil today, repacked and adjusted the front wheel bearings, installed a new fan motor (still troubleshooting the fan control module) found a bad ground. All four tires are new, brake fluid is less than 3 months old as well as the rear pads. Fronts still have lots of miles left. Need to wash it and touch up a new stone chip and a few misc. items.

Let's see...

Did the home alignment last night (tracks dead straight now).

Still need to test the laser jammer - can't find a helpful police officer.

Need to re-attached my data-logger.

Need to wash and vacuum the car.

I think that's it.
