Default Flowmaster 10 Series One Chambers on with X-pipe! WOW!

MOVIE CLIPS ON PAGE 3

This should solve my overly quiet Flowmaster Super 40s.

2.5" In/Out with 1 Single Chamber and one for each side.

Don't forget the ear plugs neighbors at 6AM

UPDATE SEE BELOW

I think that you are going to hate those. The resonance is going to be substantial.

Maybe those would be OK for a designated track car, but even then......

I have people ask me if I even have mufflers and I am running dual magnaflows.

YMMV

I just got confirmation that a magnaflow arrived to my doorstep at 9:05 am today. Woo hoo.

Vlocity, I don't think will be too bad. I've heard them already on a Mustang Mach 1 with the modular motor and an x-pipe. The sound is very unique and intoxicating. Louder, yes. I'm not worried about resonance.

Too much bark for the bite, imho.

I thought the ones that I have on there now would be the same way. That sure wasn't the case. Like I said before, I thought an x-pipe was supposed to wake up my exhaust not quiet it down like a Mercedes. I'm aiming for that just shy of amazing sound on this car.

Alrighty. The sound these mufflers are claimed to put out is truly an overestimate. After getting these welded up, we fired the car up at the muffler shop. At idle, there is a 'burbly' exhaust note with a mild growl. The lope of the camshafts can even be heard if you listen carefully with these one chamber Flowmaster 10 Series mufflers.

On the road, the sound is absolutely intoxicating. City driving is not as intrusive as one would think with 1-chamber mufflers. There is a presence of a drone, but not as apparent as when I had glasspacks on there before the x-pipe job. When compared to the Super 40 Flowmasters, it is actually just a shade louder. My girlfriend really likes how the car sounds. IMHO if a woman approves of the noise, IT IS NOT THAT BAD. She loves it when I step on it now. The exterior sound gets instant attention from cars within 3-6 lengths around you. I have already gotten 2 compliments about the exhaust at stoplights. These mufflers truly bring out the muscular sound on the 928, but introduce a tone that is very unique and very powerful on wide-open throttle.

I'm attaching some pictures of the install and x-pipe that I have already done 3 months prior. As you can see, the mufflers are smaller and there is ample space for transmission maintenance. Enjoy

your next project perhaps.......? maybe fix the slushbox leaks.......?

(nice installation--would look better without the oil dripping onto the pipes?)

Cool Andy. Didn't realize that you were running cats (hence my prior comment). Bet it sounds like a terror at WOT.

Looks like a clean install Mongo.

How does it feel (seat of the pants) compared to the rest?

clean install? you been drinking too much of Rogers wine

that looks like it belongs on an 80's Buick or something. Is this the work of the local AAMCO? If your going to post ****, make sure its HOT! A fat, hairy, stank girl with warts on her face naked aint the same as Gizel Bundchen naked, sure they are both nude pics, but i wouldnt be showing that stuff off.

Sorry that looks like a hack job to me. Roger should save your X-pipe pic to show the "your brain on drugs" version of an x-pipe compared to his.

Oh and no offense, yada yada whatever floats your boat

Okay first off if you're looking for ****, get your *** a $29.95 membership to exercise that right hand of yours instead of bashing my post. This is the second time you have deliberately attacked me on Rennlist. What does **** have to do with cars also? Did you get your site mixed up?

If you don't like it, don't rant or bitch like your post-menopausal. Don't you have a car still that you need to get running instead of coming on here and shooting your mouth off?
