Nice work Andy. My old engine had a similar set up but using Borla mufflers. Sounded very mean.
I think the Magnaflow X flows very well. Not a bad alternative to a true $400.00 928 X pipe.
My take on an exhaust system is it should sound good and shouldn't be seen (execpt for the tips). Not an easy task if your on a budget and welding it in your garage. If your one of the few that walked the walk, you know what I mean...................

x 2. Nice work. Not too many on here that could put something like that together themselves. -Ed

that looks like it belongs on an 80's Buick or something. Is this the work of the local AAMCO? If your going to post ****, make sure its HOT! A fat, hairy, stank girl with warts on her face naked aint the same as Gizel Bundchen naked, sure they are both nude pics, but i wouldnt be showing that stuff off.

Sorry that looks like a hack job to me. Roger should save your X-pipe pic to show the "your brain on drugs" version of an x-pipe compared to his.

Oh and no offense, yada yada whatever floats your boat

Okay first off if you're looking for ****, get your *** a $29.95 membership to exercise that right hand of yours instead of bashing my post. This is the second time you have deliberately attacked me on Rennlist. What does **** have to do with cars also? Did you get your site mixed up?

If you don't like it, don't rant or bitch like your post-menopausal. Don't you have a car still that you need to get running instead of coming on here and shooting your mouth off?

No dude i dont think its a clean install. Dont take that as a personal attack, I could say nothing i guess, but thats boring. Lets spice it up a bit ya? My post is my opinion so on and so forth, it looks like what it is.

If it works for you, then great, who cares what i think.
My opinion on this,is that Ryan has the right to post what he wants, he hasn't overly attacked you and most important of all he hasn't attacked you personally. My thoughts were along the line of what Ryan was thinking, I wasn't going to post anything though. My thoughts now that I am posting appears that apart from some maintaince issues with oil leaks is that the exhaust doesn't appear to be stainless steel?

I think anytime you make changes to the car that lower its quality of either material or engineering you are opening yourself upto attack at what you have done. Most of us here are trying to make improvements, in relation to the exhaust not just the sound but the weight and flow/performance and sound too. It would also be interesting for you to have posted dyno numbers before and after, then you may know if you have made an improvement.

A word on dynos, never use the persons dyno if he is selling the product, use a Dyno Dynamics Dyno in Shootout mode, (independant of the seller) if you can as they are the most controlled of all dynos, the DynoJets or Dynojests which I just ironically typed are a cheaters best friend, not saying all people using Dynojets are cheaters but they are used to make claims that are not true, if that is what the person doing the runs wants. We just had a dyno day and the person holding event is the largest seller of Porsche parts in the country and he often imports aftermarket performance parts and he has been caught by the Dynojet tricks a few times.

All the best

Greg

**** it! make it loud. it ain't like its a Boxster or anything show off a V8. I like mine loud but not to loud because i want that cam lope before I get crazy with the "sounds tougher than it is" sound. But whenever it comes to the value of the car.....gee who cares this is the greatest website to keep the value down on 928's. Rock on!!! Remember THEY ARE WORTH NOTHING!!!!!! Right???.......*sigh*

WOW! Ryan what's up with you lately??? I think it looks great. I've used flows on other cars in the past and they always seem to have a lot of resonance going down the highway. I'm glad you like it and the exhaust looks great. I run the cat, small resonator, and the RMB. Sounds very agressive on the gas but quiet around town at low RPM. I'm really happy with my RMB.

+1......... not to spice it up a bit more or anything.

I think it looks just fine, who looks under a 928 anyways other than the owner or a mechanic? Its 99.9% about the sound anyways, .1% about how it looks right? just my .928 cents worth. I bet half the 928 owners that hear my '85 with DR's Xpipe & cat delete love it & the other half don't like it at all, prefer the stock sound. To each his own.

fwiw, Just had to have my son's custom Roush Magnaflow mufflers rewelded on the end seams due to the welds coming apart. One completely, the other was on its way. The owner of the custom muffler shop I took it to said that it was common on Magnaflows, he's seen it often. But he assured me that his welds would hold indefinitely. Was much cheaper at $30 per muffler to have them repaired than paying $200 each for new ones from Roush. He told me that Magnaflow has a lifetime warrantee, but the hassle of boxing them up & shipping them to them would be a 50/50 shot of them honoring the warrantee or finding a way to get out of it.

Some people try to polish a penny. I'm sure eventually these cars will be worth something, but for now, I intend to drive the hell out of mine before I rebuild at at 250,000+ miles. Enjoying it now is worth a lot more than some sniffling people on here bitching about getting a rock chip on theirs or how a weld and steel piping look as far as quality.
