Hi all!
I have the new GTS on the road now in Vancouver.
On acceleration starting at about 3000rpm it feels like the ignition is being interupted somehow. It is random, sometimes it doesnt happen and other times it does it 2 or 3 times in a row.
It feels more electrical to me than fuel supply but I wouldnt really know.
The new rotors, wires and caps helped a bit but its still not 100%. It throws quite a jolt through the drive train.
Could I have a short somewhere?
I've been searching here but any help or links to other threads would be much appreciated.
Thanks!!
Canuck
PS. Why would my ABS sensors have arrived with the car in a bag in the back seat????
OK, I've found some good reading now.
Im not very good a choosing good key words for the search it seems!!
I usually find what Im looking for after I make a posting.... rarely before!
Cheers!
how did the old coil wires look? Did you replace the spark plugs? is the hot post connector been cleaned recently? (disconnect the battetry first) How about battery terminals, get fuse relay chart here www.928gt.com check fuses and relays for corrosion
check the coil wires as they are connected to the coils. they can arc and what you are seeing is what i saw. (miss above 3krpm) the arcing is the low voltage connection talking to the coil wire through the boot
