Nurburgring Pics
Returned from the Ring last night and thought you might like to see some photos.
First here is Ben - FUSE69 - and his extremely quick stripped out 87 Manual. This guy is really quick, but it's not a car I'd like to travel any distance in, I like my creature comforts.

Here's a couple of pics of my car at the Karussell

I hope to post a few more in the next couple of days.

No way, I'm not timing myself, I don't even know the circuit yet. It would take hundreds of laps to get above novice stage, and I've only done a dozen.
During the three days of my trip there were at least two fatalities, bikers not cars, but even so the consquences of getting it wrong as a car driver are immense, financially and otherwise.

Paul-
Feel free to write a few thousand words about your experience driving the 'Ring, and color me green with envy. That is an incredible amount of suspension compression going through the Carousel- how fast were you going?

paul, im surprised the pics show only your car and not the hundreds of other people out there hooning around. i had a call from alex raving about his lap with fuse69 and telling me to forget about refitting my boat this year as i have to put the orange car on track rubber and come back to the ring! there can be no doubt that driving the ring is habit forming with its heady mix of beauty, adrenaline fueled challenge and serious danger. i always come away thinking i could go faster - next time

Just can't wait to go back...

Yeah Nick, track tyres would have to be the best cost/second (saving) you could possibly do IMO....
6-800 quid worth of track tyres will give a huge improvement in lap times and confidence.... same kind of money on engine or suspension mods... isn't going to go far....
Pflanzgarten....

Time to get the track rubber off, for the trip home.... and beer helper
