I dontknow what changed year to year, but i think there are 3 versions an early 79-82 version a 85-86 version with attached starter ring and something else inbetween. What the differences are, i have no idea. Apparently the PP and clutch discs are all the same 80-86, but the flywheel and intermediate plate could have differences. Have you test fit them all together yet?
The intermediate plate has the starter gear attached. I just got the disks in today so i havent test fitted them yet. Are there any diff in the disks? They are listed as #1 and #2 but i dont see a difference.
the hubs on the discs are different, i think the shorter hub goes inbetween the flywheel and mid plate and the larger between the PP and intermediate plate.
Do you have a center drive shaft? clutch arm?
the think you need to test fit is the intermediate plate to the flywheel and the pp to the intermediate plate. Mine has different sized pins and dowels, so just make sure all yours line up correctly.
