I'm running both an X-pipe and RMB on my car and I love the sound. I know that some people don't like the noise/sound that accompanies this combo, but it's exactly what I was looking for. There's no question that you have a V8 under the hood with that sound.

An "X" with a RMB sounds good in my mind as long as it has the large factory mufflers. If your car has the GT style mufflers then it is a bit loud. Cats help...
He didn't order one from me Roger, he must have gotten it from Carl.

I have the Motorsport X pipe and the dyno shows an increase of 26 max hp and 30 ft lbs. max torque.
Our altitude here is 4200+ ft. I've wondered if altitude makes any difference in the amount of increase one will see with an X pipe.
I didn't notice much difference in sound with just the X. Perhaps there is a little more prominent rumble at idle, but otherwise not much change.

ok question about the HP gains
Are these 20+ horse (or "horsepowers" as Jeremy Clarkson says) over the entire rev range or is this just maximum HP, in which case i rarely if ever redline my car, i wouldn't notice it. Is the HP curve the same curve, just 20 or so HP higher? I guess there is a graph somewhere out there, but would like to know this because often times maximum HP can be deceiving.

UH, is Carl also selling Dave's X-pipes? Are they the same? Because his price is $529 and Roger's is $400? Does Carl include the hardware, not that there is $130 worth of hardware but ........
Also if your going with cats, i really like the ones Roger uses, I MUCH prefer them to the $50 ones that are all over Ebay, they look much better, not sure if they are metallic or ceramic. I would also suggest metallic cores, they are much more durable, I believe the high end ones are much more effective as well. Oh and please everyone, put cats on the car! They dont sap any power that you would notice but they are so much better for air quality, not to mention its illegal to run without them.

Oh and another question?
I dont want my O2 sensor reading off only 1 bank, is there a spot that i could drill and tap into to locate the o2 sensor in an area close to the X to sample a bit of both banks? The factory sensor location reads off both banks and i dont know if this is an oversight with the X pipe or maybe someone can convince me its not necessary, but this is something i never liked? Why doesnt the O2 sensor read off both banks?

Ryan, both Carl and Roger resell my crossovers and my cats. The cats I had made only lose 1 to 2 horsepower vs. the Random Tech style which lost 7-8 horsepower and the Magneflow style which lost 14-15 horsepower. Yes, the horsepower gain is from idle up. I worked long and hard to achieve idle-up gains in both torque and horsepower. High end gains are easy but look at my midrange torque gains...
You can locate an O2 sensor bung anywhere you want to but not easily on my "X". The design doesn't lend itself well to locating one in the merge.

ok i figured it wouldnt go into the x easily, so arent i getting a much smaller sample then by using only one bank for o2 information. I think PorKen suggested putting what would be an H into the h as well to reduce noise but i think that would also be a great place to put the o2 bung.

Ryan,
When are you coming up again? Are you going to SITM 2008?
I bought my X from Roger along with the Cats that he sells. Not sure what the material was, but it was a very good looking piece, (pieces). Power felt better across the board to me. I noticed a fair amount of low end torque gain right of the line which I was looking for. I was pleasanty suprised that any bolt on short of a supercharger would gain enough power to actually notice just by driving it. This one does just that.
I was also weary of the O2 sensor plugging into one side of the X but I have noticed no ill effects at all. Gas mileage has not changed enough to notice. Hell, it might even be a little better if I could just keep my foot out of it. There is a bung to run a second sensor on the other side of the X but I have no idea how or if that would even work.

If you install the motorsports X-pipe and follow it up with their Y-pipe you gain another 15rwhp
