I've been making enough mistakes lately that I presumed this was another one, but it does appear he is referring to an 89.

OK so I am an idiot I thought it was his '89 that was having problems but apparently its his '84 so possible whole different list of problems. Sorry for the mix up and thanks for the help so far.

I missed his later correction, so you are right - it's an 84 with no LH, but it does have an L-Jet control unit that could be flaky.

So...
Swapped the L-Jet with another local 84 and the problem persists. I also pulled the plugs and it has spark. Any new ideas?
