Stuck in first after full throttle (A/T) 84 S2 Euro
I jumped on my throttle and made the KD switch and after letting off the throttle the tranny was stuck in first (Bad). Fortunatly, I was very close to home and I easily limped back in first. Park, reverse, and nuetral all working. First gear in D, 3rd and 2nd.
After cooling down, I checked the KD switch. It was OK. I could here the solenoid switching upon every actuation of the KD switch.
Then I checked my A/T fluid level and found it to be very very low (Ugly).
Filled with more fluid (8 oz.) and could see evidence of weeping around the Tranny pan gasket.
Started car up and drove around the block and all shifting was fine. (Good)
My fault for letting level get so low.
What kind of damage if any could I have caused to the tranny?
What kind of Tranny service should I get?
Should I do the power flush or simply drain, drop the pan and replace the gasket and filter, fill?

Al,
I have my spare (hurt) tranny sitting in the garage. Let me know if you need anything. Or if you just want to open mine and see what can be fixed/replaced in yours.
Let me know if you need anything at all really.

The first and easiest thing to do is drain and replace the tranny fluid....this has fixed other odd tranny problems in the past for other 928ers...& is pretty cheap and easy to do....
If that doesn't fix it.....then things start to get $$$$
