Default Blower fan RHD/LHD

I need to replace or fix my air con blower fan. I'm in Oz so it's a right hander 1990 S4. Can I use the motor out of a US car, reinstal it in my housing? Or will I get air being sucked out of the car!

I can find 2 different part numbers, 928 574 033 05 and 928 574 267 02, whats' the diff?

And by the way, the fan control resistor is okay, the problem is in the blower motor. Either a broken or lose wire, or brushes etc.

Cheers,

groppo

No - the RHD blower has a part number with a prefix of 927.
Sorry not want you wanted to hear.

Thanks for the info. I'll have to repair the fan motor I've got. But it looks difficult to get the motor cover off. The top is crimped on and the metal casing is made of thick plate, so are the crimped tabs holding the top plate on. I tried using a screwdriver as a lever but the tabs didn't budge. Maybe a specialist has the right tool.

Cheers,

Is is possible to dismantle that motor? If yes its very likely actual motor is same and just plastics around it are different.
