Default Horns / Fanfare on '79

I've been attempting to get the horn working on my car. I can hear the relay clicking when I press on the horn pad of the steering wheel. My next step was to check the horns themselves. I pulled a cover directly in front of the front left wheel (front bottom of wheel well) and discovered this one round silver colored horn (see attached photo).

Thought it looked kind of small for a horn. I then removed the same cover from the right side wheel well and discovered the red horns you see in the other attached picture (2 of them). Ok, so these look like the factory horns. Now I just have to check to make sure they are getting power.

So what's the small horn that I found on the left side for? Factory alarm?

One of the PO's had installed an UngoBox alarm system in the car (now removed), and I thought this might be a remnant of the Ungo alarm, except the small horn says Made in Germany. The wiring on this small round horn doesn't look factory though. I hooked up 12v to it, it's inop.

Done a search here, couldn't really make heads or tails on whether 79's had factory alarms or not. I couldn't find any reference in the PET to alarm components. Any ideas?

My guess would be an aftermarket alarm.

Thanks for the info. The small horn wiring definitely doesn't look factory, but the fact that the horn had Made in Germany stamped on it made me wonder about it.

Hate to be the bearer of bad news, but your 928 is tainted with a 924/944 horn.
