$97 for the GT plus a bonus trip to the test-only Smog station every other year (thus far), to the tune of $60 or so.

Michigan was a shock when I went to register my '95 BMW Touring (original MSRP $44K) in 2000, it was something like $250. Yikes!

Normally $78. Got a ticket today for it, plus the late fee, this year $173.
I am usually so good about these things.

Man, it looks like were getting raped here in Michigan. I can say, however, mine went down this year to $270 annually from the $311 it had been the previous three years. Yippee. Probably a clerical error for which I'll have to pay interest.

Just got back from the DMV and she said my new 87 S4 is $237 per year and will be due this august (did a plate transfer). I asked her if the rates went down because my cassirot 928 is about 300 a year and she said no. She said something about the VIN and being able to look up what the MSRP was for my car back then which was 61k. Anyways still expensive compared to what everyone else pays.

I'm pretty sure we voted on it twice. Or was it that we voted down the public funding for the new sports stadium - twice - but they went ahead and built it anyway....
And oh yeah, no emissions check for me here in unincorporated King County, so no fee or hassles around that.

Makes me want to go hog wild with a supercharger or turbo setup, but my budget is not going to allow that right now.
