JIM: but thought better and resisted temptation. I thanked him for the oportunity to get out of the car and stretch did learn that the Crown Vic has a speed limiter but he would not say what it was.
The time in Dallas was very limited and we had committed to the R M auction, Roller Derby (My daughter skates), then swap meet at TM speedway and two days at the Pate swap meet the following Friday Saturday. I was with my daughter and son-in-law while in the area. Do not feel too bad my mother lives near Dallas and we did not get to stop and see her either. We did things like leave Lubbuck at 3:00 AM to get to TM Speedway for the Pate meet walk all day. Friday back at 8:00 am walk all day Saturday then at 5:30 drive back to Lubbock. But that week they bought three cars and sold two
Only had a week and two days off so flew to Dallas. The old very brown has too much negative camber for road trips. The tires are DOT race tires they do not last that long and have ZERO tread , it rains in Texas. The A/C compressor/condensor somehow came up missing. I also wanted to drive something back that my daughter could SELL.
Jim with all the parts you haz, I don't understand why your driving old brown 928 instead of pimped out supercharged GT in red or black. You need to go on Dr. Phil and splain that, it seems so unatural and too conservative. The car in your sig is Red, not brown, come over to the red side of the farce.
I finally test drove a 944, but I can't fit in those cars. The steering wheel hits my right fat leg and gas pedal is all messed up by the time my foot touches it. I had to drive it like I had a gimp *** broken leg and said I can't drive like this daily.
Red I cannot comfortably drive a sunroof 928, will not drive an automatic anything , and really could care less who sees me or how good the car looks . I would not track a nice car so the old very brown 1980 works for me. Besides it makes some of the POC people with nice newer cars crazy when my lap times are better than theirs and Yes ...." You need to go on Dr. Phil and splain that, it seems so unatural and too conservative." that sums it up pretty well !
