I have no idea when my car will back on the road.
It may be a long time.

Slim to none.....as a result of my glass-bead disaster, I'm in the middle of an engine swap. Once that is done I will re-install my supercharger and then plumb the oil cooler and acusump I installed.

I will be bringing my 89' GT.

My Euro won't be undertaking any lengthy road trips for a while, pending timing belt and motor mounts (and all the WYAIT, or at least some of it).
A reminder though- German car Day 6/15 and Porschefest 9/6 at Larz Anderson, hope to see some of you there. Though it's tough to get the maintenance done when the car is in Mass and I'm (mostly) in Va!

I have had a slight change of plans and will miss the start of the trip. I will meet the gang in Harrisburg PA on rte 81 around 2 pm on thursday and continue on as planned to Front Royal and Skyline drive.
I am leaving early to spend some time with Earl Gillstrom in PA fixing my a/c before hooking up with the group.
Rick3452 will lead the way from the beginning in MA. He is a veteran of several SITMs and Frenzys and knows the SITM route well.
Tass and Stan Shaw will meet the group on rte 84 after Hartford CT as they live too far west of the meeting point on rte 90.

I'm in - on a dare.....
but I'm in.... I'll be doing my TB today.....
Start to finish in......
Start time is now - 09:45
It looks like I'll be trying to catch up with Doc and the eastern movement somewhere north in Tennessee...
It isn't just about the destination - it's about enjoying the ride!
Anyone else from Florida want to make a neat road trip out of this?

I have Thursday off so I can leave from Bristow VA any time. I'd rather leave earlier than later, and don't have a room yet. Love to split one with someone and save some dosh. I could probably hook up with the team in Front Royal and head south at that point - what time is the plan there?

Great! I am so looking forward to this adventure.

Haven't heard a target time for Front Royal yet. Is there an itinerary out there with timelines? I don't mind waiting a bit there, either.

Front Royal? Usually down there around dinner time. PM me your cell # and I will send you mine. Hoping for 5pm start on Skyline Drive. Don't forget it's $10 or $15 to drive on Skyline, but your pass is good for 1 week so if you return that way you can do it in reverse. I did that last year.

Hey Carl,

$10-$15 pass. . . is that for the 'amusement ride' or, lemme guess -- some kind of fuel related surcharge?

It's like the toll at the "pearly gates" to shark heaven...
