By pure happenstance, my isue of Excellence came in yesterday. Read the article last night and it was "Excellent," no pun intended...

Anyone wanting to find out more about the 2/6 rod bearing issues with our engines will do good reading this article. Chuck full of other information for those inclined to want more from their 928. Execution of the 928 in the article looks first rate and made for great pictures.

The author seemed to have payed attention when interviewing Professor Ott, did not notice any hiccups with the article, well written and entertaining.

For those that don't know, this is pretty huge for us 928 lovers. Excellence is read by many enthusiasts around the world and is considered by many as "the" Porsche magazine.

I stopped my subscription to Excellence in favor of 911 & Porsche World, which has many more front engine articles. Maybe I'll rethink my Excellence subscription if they write more articles on our cars.

Thanks very much everyone. It was a long project. I haven't received my Excellence copy either so I don't know what is in it. The Author, Peter Linsky, seemed like a really nice guy. Like he should have owned a 928 instead of the other kind.
