Shipping is actual cost, priority mail from 77346 - local pickups available, and encouraged on the big stuff. Disregard Ebay's crappy shipping calculator, I'm not out to hose anyone on shipping. I will ship however you want it, at your expense, plus insurance if desired.

Randy said I had to list a BIN or "buy it now" price, and while I think that defeats the purpose of these auctions and my desire to get the stuff into the hands of those who really need them, however I will sell ANY of the items listed to a Rennlist user (member or otherwise) for a "private Rennlist only" offering of $500 per item, from the ashtray insert on up to the automatic transmission.

Again, this "special" BIN price is for Rennlist users only - PM me if you want to take me up on this for any of the items listed.

Happy 928'ing guys, I appreciate the service Rennlist (and the users) provide to the owner community.

Some good stuff on there....I'm itching to ask you what else you have available. There's a few things I need that aren't listed.

Are you still planning on adding more?

I am watching some of your auctions. How can I get some real buy it now prices? This seems like a cleaver way to dusguise an ad for your listings

I have removed the eBay auction links.

Please list an asking price for each item.

Thanks.

$500 each, or watch the ebay auctions for deals. I don't understand what the problem with this is...can someone explain it? I followed the rules that were spelled out to me. I paid the $17.95 to become a member. I am letting the market decide the value of these items, as I don't know their value.

On ebay, but not here.

As the rules were explained to me prior to renewing my membership, this is within the bounds. As posted above, I don't know the value of these items - you all do - I don't want take advantage of anyone and I don't want anyone to take advantage of me. When the high bidder sets a price, neither party has any valid reason to be upset.

James:

I think the point is to avoid turning Rennlist into an auction. In exchange for using this forum as a vehicle to sell parts, the rule is that parts be listed with a real price rather than an invitation to begin bidding. Setting everything to an artificially high price so that buyers instead use the auction format doesn't comply with the spirit of the rule. I'm sure you understand the rule, and I understand you don't like it, but rulez is rulez!

I think James understands the what and why, Dave, but is preferring to be 'difficult'.

See:

https://rennlist.com/forums/showpost...2&postcount=16

In particular:

Posting Links to eBay Auctions

If you want to post your ebay link here, post a reasonable Buy it Now (BIN) price that you will sell it for.

If you get a taker here, you must end the auction early and sell it to the Rennlister at the BIN price.

Guess who gets to make the judgement call as to the BIN price being resonable?

I think the "rulez" should be re-thought, as they set people up to be taken advantage of, regardless of stated intentions. The best transactions occur when both parties feel satisfied with the results.

And as for preferring to be difficult, one's perspective usually depends on which side of fence one sits. I might say the same about you, Randy - smiley faces or no.

James,
Randy, along with those of us who agree with the rules we signed on with, would appreciate a BIN price.

You have listed 928 items on a 928 forum - I should hope as a previous 928 owner you would have a idea of these items worth, and what you want.
Please let us know so we might make our own decisions - Not sit on the fence for 6 days while your auctions run there course.
This isn't evilbay and your not auctioning a piece of toast with the holistics of Jesus.
Just my 2c worth
