Default Doing speedo gear..What did I find

Hey all I was removing my pod this moring and found two thumb wheels and a push button switch of some kind on the bottom of the dash. Do you guys know what they are? There is a thumb wheel on each side.

Soo . . . I guess we can assume neither of yours works. On an '85 The one on the left (driver POV) is dimmer for dash lights. On the right the button is for the headlight washer, the manual says the wheel is a duration control. Just replaced my dimmer. Cost about $65 for this plastic, but the job is easy. Would be easier of course w/seat out, so you might want to combine this w/anything involving seat and center console.

Just to confuse stuff here, isn't the right button for the intensive washer system and the wheel for the intermittent wiper delay?

Right is wipre delay, left is dash light dimmer. Button is intensive wash.

If you don't have one, get an owners manual for you specific year(s). I still look at mine occasionally even after 6 years. A lot of "I didn't know that" and "Damn, I forgot all about that!"

I just had the pod out of my 84 (US) and worked on these items as well.

Left button is a reset for the trip odometer. This duplicates the lower left pushbutton on the face of the pod. My owners manual doesn't mention the left button under the dash... Left thumbwheel is dash light intensity.

Right button is the high intesity wash. This makes the front windshield washer pump run and the wipers go for a swipe or two. Right thumbwheel controls the delay time on the windshield wipers.

Question: I have a leftover connector behind the pod on the left side. Looks just like the ones that connect to the fog light switch, etc. Any ideas what this might be for?

Thanks!

Hmm maybe for foglights - are same pod harnesses used for ROW and US models?

Aryan is correct. High intensity rear foglights. A ROW feature I think. Anyway lots of ROW cars have this.
