What do you think an 89 LSD auto trans with 65K miles worth? Just wondering, looking at a wrecked 89.

Not a penny more than one costs from 928Int, infact less. Its wrecked so one has to wonder if the tranny is damaged, or if they drove the car daily like he just robbed the bank.

89 Auto has the rare 2.54 gear ratio.

Is the owner selling it or someone that bought it from the insurance co and looking to make some profit?
Is it driveable? What assurance or warranty do you have that the tranny is in good shape?

I would pay for the LSD if I can get the tranny for free.

I would say it's worth something. You want lsd, and ONLY '89 had the simple mechanical LSD and the later 2.54 ratio.

Sterling's got it right, he already ditched his auto.... his car was born with a birth defect, but he fixed it!

The car was damaged in the left front corner. ABS pump pushed into the TB cover and knocked off the belt. Don't know what kind of damage was done to the engine. I would pull the tranny and TT. I already bought an 89 LSD auto for my car.

The LSD is worth some $$$.....I think Intl typically sells them for $950....the tranny isn't really worth much.....but if you can get the whole unit for under $1000 then its worth considering.......

I would love to have an LSD for mine......its on my list for next year!
