But I do love info reguarding the 928. Would you mind sharing where your info is listed, there may be other specs I`d be interested in as well. Thx, Toofer

I'm surprised you didn't find any sources of accurate info. Trust me, it's either 288HP or 292HP; I just take the average and call it 290HP

I would run away from that car. The oil pressure should be 2.5 - 3bar at idle on an 80 deg. F day. Sounds like the oil in that car is too thin.

It took me 10 months to find my '86 8 years ago. My best advice would be to be very patient and wait for a nice and decently priced '85 or newer model.

dpranti, I checked your sources, your absolutly correct. The 86 did have 288 and the 85 was 284. You must own an 85, don`t get so steaming under the collar you`ll have a stroke or something.

It took me 10 years to find a 32 valve 928 that I could afford, that was NOT automatic. I finally found one in long island, dumped $10k into it and toasted a cylinder head after 98 miles by some FREAK ACCIDENT [head rebuilt AGAIN and about to install it in a week or two]...See grommet in search. The second 32v car I found 3 months later in Ny (both came from NY; good place for deals!) I paid $2000 for my meteormetallic car and drove it home that day. Needed timing belt, seals, gaskets, relay, and some tlc, but the car is in good shape and I drive it daily, it's my only car actually (besides the other 85). Needs some suspension help, but I think I got an insane deal! They're out there....keep looking.

Lol, I don't own an '85. And the '85 and '86 US models have the same engine, so they have the same output. Where are you getting this 284 number? And I'm not steamed, I just want a new potential buyer to have all the accurate info they need in order to make an informed purchase.
