My description of the actuator arm adjustment concerns what I call the "ball crank". ie the small arm on the motor shaft which connects to the cam actator arm (or 'pull rod' if you like) with a ball and nylon bush. The position of the release cam in the receiver is controlled by this assembly but the cam isn't visible.

The orientation of the ball crank is almost infinitely adjustable on the motor shaft. In my case I set the ball crank to about 20-30 degrees clockwise of TDC when the motor is in its 'park' position (latch closed). In this position the actuator arm has not yet started to move down but all the slack has been taken out of the linkages. When the hatch release **** is pulled the motor turns a full 360 deg clockwise. My hatch opens when the ball crank is about 20 degrees after horizontal.

Hope this is helpful

Hi Colin;

Indeed....I'll give this a try.

Thanks!
