Post motor mounts

Do all 928's require new motor mounts and if so , when? My S4 has 75k pampered miles with lots of new parts. Is this preventative maintenance? Do you need to be a mechanic to check the condition of the mounts? How much time is required if they need replacing? Any help would be appreciated. TIA

Cranky -

There's an ez check - with hood open rev the motor and watch for the motor to move...If it doesn't - probably needs new mounts - MAJOR pain in the *** - from what I've read...

I need to do mine and if you search the archives, you'll find plenty of info on how involved it is along with the other recommended repairs/maintenance to do "while you're in there". SITM is in 2 weeks and I'd rather do it upon my return from NC rather than risk opening a can of worms that might keep my car on stands for weeks
