Damn Worf, I was hoping you wouldn't catch that

But, like my daddy always said, "Someone being a jerk doesn't give you an excuse to be one".

Dave I'm not on a soapbox. I'm just feeling this guy's pain and CB explained very well how real life can easily get in the way of due care when it comes to a sportscar.

Don't know about the tranny cooler, but I've been shown OLD fuel hoses that act more like glass in their brittleness than flexible fresh fuel hoses after so many years of engine heat/ozone and general aging.

Think mine have been changed by the PO cause they were not that bad when I had them swapped out last year.

We saw the fuel lines in this now crispy '87 last Fall and they had many visable cracks. The owner was STRONGLY advised at the time not to drive the car and to purchase the fuel line kit ASAP. We offered to install the new fuel lines as a GTG tech session.

When I saw the car last Saturday, the original cracked fuel lines were still there in the front. The rear lines could not be seen under the pile of melted plastic that was once the air filter housing and MAF. Based upon the amount of under the hood damage, the rear lines must have given way under the heat/fire and contributed to the demise of the car. The hood and both fenders were warped from the heat.
