gas smell help?!

Question gas smell help?!

My ventiduct blows gas smell in interior. When I switch to AC no gas smell. Any suggestions?

Sounds as though you have a fuel leak which is being drawn into you cabin airinlet.

Check out your fuel circuit from the fuel pumps at the drivers side rear of your car just under the rear bumper. Trace the fuel circuit into you engine compartment and into your fuel rails.

You should also check out your fuel vent system for leakage. A good site for information on the vent circuit is: http://sis125.berkeley.edu/928.html

Fredis,

Most likely the problem is a broken plastic 'Y' connector, located inside the right front fender well. This connector is part of the fuel tank venting system that routes gasoline vapors to the charcoal canister for adsorption and regeneration - one of the air pollution control measures on the car This is a common problem that is easily (and inexpensively) repaired.
