Post WUR or Adjustable regulator

A little advice needed

My WUR has died, I have th eoption of buying a new one or going for an adjustable pressure regulator.

My car is a 1982 Euor 928S 4664 cc

Are the any issues here, which is the best Fuel pressure regulator to go for if I decide not to get a new WUR

All advice welcome

Thanks
Paul

Paul,

Are you refering to the FPR's like used on the 82 US models? Will it adjust automatically for cold starts?

Paul,
Now what have you done? No, an EFI regulator will not do what you want.
I played with mine yesterday, bad idea. Idle was starting to surge, so time to look at pressure. 50psi, was 42. Time to rip out those little gauze filter things under the inlet, do this without removal. No problem. Put it back together. 20psi, needs throttle to run. Tap it inwards to lift control, no change. Damn!
Pull it off, open up. O ring is a bit sad, clean it up. Tap reg outwards, replace gauze bits under inlet. Refit, start. 15psi. Tap in firmly, presuure jumps high, then back to 45psi. I let it run until fully warmed through, 45psi is stable. Finished.
What's yours doing now? Have you broken it? I wish I could find a wrecked something to get one off. Maybe I better check out the dead MB souk here?
