blown speaker
I just blew the 6 1/2 " woofer behind my seat. Given the fact that all the other speakers work, given the fact that this car has a premium sound system, can I just replace both woofers and leave all the other speakers alone? Does the crossover on the woofer come off and can it be used on another woofer?

Gary,
Ed replaced all his speakers and has a pretty good writeup. http://www.ejs-has.symbiotix.com/Hob...lideshow2.html
The stock 6 1/2" are no longer manufactured or available (doesn't sound like you want to stay stock though). I just bought what I think was the last one in existence in the US. I called everyone.
The problem is that there is no mounting depth. You will have to do some mods like Ed did. I'm sure any competent audio store an find replacement that will work while retaining the other speakers.
