Value of a 1984 Euro S???
What would a 1984 euro 928s be woth assuming that it is in reasonable condition considering the age and 80k miles. I know it has a parasitic battery drain and the interior may need some attention. The body is straight, never been wrecked and only has very minor blemishes.
Thanks,
Rob

I used Edmonds.com to estimate the value of my 928. Unfortunately, the service offered, will not calculate the "Euro" status.
It sounds like yours is comparable to mine. Mine was valued around 7.5k US Stats. I figure we can add an additional $1,500-2,000 on to that, being that our models are of Higher performance.
This is speculation, so if anyone knows for sure, please correct me with the right information.
Hope this Helps

Hi:
Sorry for stepping into this discussion. But we had a 1984 Euro 928S Auto
111,000 miles
Brought it into the USA without any DOT modifications (Very original,no door or bumper reinfor.,no front & rear side makers) except Cat converter (I don't know how the auto shop did it, but it is legal)
Stainless steel headers
Full leather interior
Sunroof was broken, otherwise the body was straight with one accident to the rear bumper but was repaired at the Porsche dealer's body shop.
It had great performance and great sound. But, the engine was starting to leak small amounts of oil & coolant.
The best offer was got was $3,000, so we took it.
After looking at your 928 post, maybe we should have kept it

I wish you could get your car back. I hate to see a fellow shark owner get Robbed. I came across the deal of a century. I bought two 84 Euros 928s for 3.9k. The guy I bought them from new what he had, but just didn't want them anymore. Lucky for me!

Man I thought i got a deal on my 84 euro. Got her for 2500 but she is in bad shape. int is awfulland she has been painted black something like 6 times that i can tell. She was gold. Wrecked in the right rear, they did a poor job repairing that as well. She run well.
Shrug I love her and am spending way to much money to bring her back to life.

Thanks fellow shark owners for your comments.
I should clarify the best offer was from a friend and he wanted it really bad. So we did take a couple of thousand less, but what are friend for right?
There were also other things wrong with the car:
Broken sunroof
Broken A/C unit
Pinholes in the head gaskets, leaking coolant
Some small oil leak
Some small rear differential leaks.
Needed 4 wheel brake job, the last one was done improperly
Needed a new air/fuel regulator
Will need a new timing belt soon
No radio, it was taken out and placed in another car
At least $3,000-$4,000 worth of work, besides my son was pushing for a new 996.
There, I feel better, I just didn't want to deal with all of those problems.
But to be absolutely honest, I loved that car . It had great performance , great exhaust sound, and lovely shapes. Too bad the 911 purists destroyed a good thing for Porsche.
But watch for the 928 revival, it will possibly be code named 998 in 2005 or a V-8 GT Mystery Porsche in 2006, they are talking about a Turbo charged V-8 front engine with 450 hp.
Maybe before I sell anything next time, I will post on the forum to get your comments first.

I can't get the URL to show the link, but it is on the 996 forum--search under 998
