Question Zaino Bros. Products (Detail)

Has anyone heard of or used any of their products?.

http://www.zainobros.com/

My buddy swears by it and says it's second to none. I have stuff on order and I'm anxious to try it out but I was just curious if you fellow sharkies have ever used any of their products.

Thanks

Our PCA club had a demo with Zaino products. I was lucky to have them work my 911. It works very well. Be sure to be careful with the clay bar and use a good amount of detail spray. The only item that I didn't agree with was that they told us to never wax the car. Call me old fashion but the polish along will not protect the surface from bugs and road dust. I just sold my boat and had some 3M marina wax left. Being tired of car wax wearing off so quickly, I tried the 3M and what a difference that made and lasted several months as well.

Hey Ell,

How about bringing the wax with you on thursday, or just coping down the type.. Until I figure out what to do about my overall paint job, I'll need to wax it.

I Highly Highly advise not going to this certain body shop in Royal Oak. The estimator there will tell you anything to get your business, then forget everything. Not very professional at all!

I will go and put it in my car right now so I won't forget it. My clay bar was retired this last weekend, it dried out. Just a note: The Zaino Bros polish work very well, however to get the whole package will cost a couple of hundred. I simply used the Maquire 3 step polish and used the clay bar first. Maybe on another meeting I can give a demo to all of the MI sharks. My car will not be ready for inspection this week because it is getting the SUV damage repaired next week. No need to put the wax on for them to take the wax off

I purchased a pretty comprehensive list of Zaino products and I'm very pleased with them. The total cost was under $80 and its only avialable mail order. My 928 is black and I tried Zaino to get rid of the micro scratches that you see in direct sunlight on dark colored cars. The system is not technically a wax but a cross-linked polymer sealant which still protects your paint like a wax but typically lasts much longer. Zaino does not have any abrasive style polish but some products (like z-5) I think could be considered a filler type polish. I know people that use both Zaino and a good wax for a "warmer" look (I don't see it but others do).

It doesn't work miracles on the fine scratches although it's as good as any other other wax type product, and I've tried most. I will keep using their products for a couple of reasons that are very inportant to me. 1) They last longer than anything I've tried and 2) when you use the whole system including the car wash and quick detail, the car looks as good as the day you poilshed it after every wash! The car wash results amaze me every time.

The first time you apply the system it is time consuming not because it's dificult, but because there are a lot of coats to put on and you have to wait (sometimes 24 hours) between steps because the cross-linking takes time. Very well worth it the end.
