Have successfully(?) bid long distance on a 1978 vehicle that I had towed to the local Porsche Dealership. Other than being in rough shape because of neglect, the service manager describes a "checkerboard" pattern in the seats which is of a velour material. The car runs and the 5 speed is smooth, she says. What kind of interior might this vehicle really have. Aftermarket or factory option? Thanks.

Checkerboard pattern was factory installed in the early cars. It will probably be considered classic someday....but are you willing to wait that long????
