Angry SF, San Jose to Santa Anna "Beware"

I like others have been bonbarded as of late with a E-mail worm ( W32.SirCam )coming from a Ca. Computer (area listed above). as of yet no one that I have been in touch with has had any trouble with have the stupid little worm (Just delete it). Although it is a bit of a pain when you get five or six attemps a day.

Here is a few facts that I have been given by @home.com. If your computer is doing strang thing it didn't do before get it looked at!

Dear Max",

It appears that you have been receiving an email infected
with the W32.SirCam email worm virus.

If you are reporting receiving this virus from an @Home user, we would
like to share some background information with you. This is a new email
worm virus that was just discovered in the 'Wild' on July 17, 2001. The
virus replicates itself though the victim's Outlook or Outlook Express,
sending itself to addresses listed on the victim computer's address book
and other files on the hard drive. Due to the fact that the virus is so
new, many computers do not have sufficient antivirus protection against
it because antivirus data files have not been updated yet. Please note
that it is most likely that the person who sent this email to you did
not send it with malicious intent. They are also, most likely, infected
with the worm virus and it is not being sent to you with their
knowledge. Once antivirus updates start to get distributed on a wider
basis, this virus problem should slowly abate and eventually stop.
Thank you for your report. For more information, see the articles
below:
