hey guys, I know I haven't posted on here in a long time, but I'd like to see if any of you guys would like to come to the event I posted above... We've had a wonderful couple last meets, and they've been a great time for everyone involved. A couple 928's have been there the last couple times, but I'd like to see if we could manage a decent showing this year If only to see a few good examples of the car I miss so much... (still working on getting it to MD soon, hopefully this summer!)

Anyway, sorry if it's short notice, but I guarantee it's a good way to spend a Sunday

    A turbocharged RX7 with a Vette LS7? Why not add TR7 taillights?

I've thought about going to this show before. And then I came to my senses.

wow. Its not about the whacky stuff that is street-squid there, its about making an appearance and showing some great 928 presence for those that appreaciate it! I hope lots of us show up.

I'm going to be racing that weekend again, but I would go in a heartbeat just to show that there are cars out there that have "it", not just $$ bling bling or whatever gets more attention then some owners cars who run into a little trouble and just want to sell it off.

MorganRock, thanks for the invite! Wish I could make it, hope its a great time! And get your shark out here soon!

Looking at that picture something tells me I would spend much of my time there worried that I was going to get stabbed in the parking lot. But on a positive note, that means your typical 944 owner would blend in well.

Its an ok show and I wasn't stabbed. I went to it last year with about 30 or so Pontiac GTO's. There are some interesting cars there thats for sure. I think a good amount of 928's would be cool just park with us goats.

... I'm not sure I appreciate the commentary you're making about my school with that ...

Anyway, our website is www.collegeparktuning.com. We're a great bunch of people into cars, and this show is not a place where you should be worried in any way about your safety, of all things.

As far as "standard fare" with cars showing up, there is no such thing at this show. Last year we had more than a thousand cars show up, with representations from most major auto groups in the area. One alumni brought his entire stable, consisting of a Mercedes Mclaren SLR, Porsche Carrera GT, Custom 6-series, and Ferrari F430. This is not a low-brow show by any stretch of the imagination, it's an all-inclusive "we love cars" event.

I would have my 928 there were it not in TX, but I'm still taking the luxury of getting it perfected while it's still at a garage with a nice set of tools available... plus I'm trying to save for some FI before I get it back here (my last S4 was nice, but I'd like to step up to something with a bit more punch this time around muhahaha)

http://youtube.com/watch?v=fT3PQoVQ0zI there will be a dyno there, if you would like to register. PM me for details on registration.

http://www.collegeparktuning.com/ind...bum.php&page=1 here are photos from our last show.

Again, proceeds go to charity, so this is also for a good cause. This is an official school-sponsored event, so we will also have police on-hand. If you keep up with this thread, I'll help in any way necessary to get you guys organized and in as easily as possible.

edit - oh yeah - the reason for the swapped FD3S on the flyer is a bit of internal politics in our club. The past couple flyers for our event were pretty much totally street import-oriented. Our club is primarily domestics, with some euro guys smattered in (and obviously a good helping of import fans), so we chose a flyer that best represented the mixed collection of our club. It also kinda removes us from the image of just an "import-only" show.

I spent some time there and earned some credits. Paid full price for my tuition which entitles me to have my own opinion about the place.

*bump* so does anyone think they'll go? the better idea we have of how many cars are going to show up, the better we can plan for the amount of food and whatnot.

Also, anyone who'd like to dyno their vehicle, there will be a dyno present, if you'd like to sign up. PM me for details. Hopefully next year I'll not only have my 928 here, but with FI to show people what a properly-built 928 can do...

I wouldn't mind going but it looks like a 60% chance of thunder showers. This could change by the weekend.
