1995 GTS for Sale - Aventurine Green in CA (?)
Found this ad,
"FOR SALE PORSCHE: 1995 928GTS, automatic, extremely rare, aventurine/grey leather, 48,000 miles, pristine, $39,000. 323-466-3526. "
on <a href="http://www.hemmings.com" target="_blank">www.hemmings.com</a>
I think this is the one on 928 Registry,
<a href="http://www.928registry.org/1995-928GTS-23.htm" target="_blank">http://www.928registry.org/1995-928GTS-23.htm</a>
Beautiful exterior and interior color combo.
Too bad it's an AT.
Wanna convert to 5-spd : )

Yeah, I think it's Gorgeous color, too.
Kinda greenish and grayish .... very close to Slate Grey which I love ( my old 944 was S-Grey, too)
Hi Nicole, yeah ... I am afraid so.
I'm sure I will be very happy with a car like this, but at the same time I know I will always be like "what I really wanted was 5-spd ...."
If this car is little cheaper and 5-spd conversion does not give me any financial burden or mechanical problems, I love to get this one : )

the problem is finding a 5 speed GTS transmission to install , the rest is only money and thousands of dollars ..... As I recall a new GTS trans was over $15,000 when available several years ago

Holy .... $15k if you are lucky enough to find one ....
Guess my search for a 5-spd GT/GTS with S-Grey will continue
Jim, is there any chance the owner brought this car to your place ?
since YellowPage says area code 323 is "S California: Los Angeles
(outside downtown: Hollywood; split from 213)"
Was wondering why this guy is putting this beauty on sale after 4 months of ownership (?), like Pete said.

VK,
The GTS transaxle has different gear ratios than other transaxles. The gearing is lower (more engine turn per wheel rotation) for more pep. So if you installed an S4 transaxle you'd be slower off the line then a "real" GTS 5-speed. This is why "rich" racers ofen use GTS boxes.
Generally Porsche upgraded drivetrain parts as HP increased. I don't know if the GTS transaxle is able to suppport any more HP or not.

Lower gearing in lower gears only, maybe?
