Merlin...where do the respective ends connect. I had a similar post last week (Hey Vern...) and my connectors are crubmling too. I understand it's a PITA but what electrical connections aren't :-)

Folks, Roger at 928sRUS has the rubber strain relief sleeve, and the Bosch connector in stock. If you are careful, and remove the hall sensor from the car you can refurbish this. If you are worried about the insulation on the individual leads, cover them with a small section of heat shrink and seal them off, but leave the prong end bare of course. Put on the strain relief first with some vaseline, then clean off the connectors, then the heat shrink, then the Bosch connector and snap in the pins. Push the sleeve back up to the connector and QED.

I do agree with Mrmerlin. Just replace the darn thing and be done with it.

If your going to go far enough to work on the hall sensor, knock sensors or the crank position sensor then you should be installing new parts that will have a service life of atleast 10 years instead of trying to use a bandaid to fix your old decaying crumbling shorted components.
