My 928 wrenching this year has been mainly on the 84 and all of it maintenance related. I've worked on the weinrot a bit as well all get it back together related. The 78 just arrived and has already seen some attention.

On the daily driver 84:

Rebuilt axles; new boots on one side 6 months later
Fresh diff fluid
2 Mobil 1 oil and filter changes
fuel filter
Brake fluid flush
T-belt retention
clean misc. switches
cleaned speedo connector under tire
Wally's annual electrical maintenance list
5 new Bridgestone S-03's (killed one w/leaky stem)
still fussing with hatch release switch
Needs TC seals

Awesome beast of a car.

On the project 83:

F/R wheel bearings
new engine rebuild parts
engine trial assembly/disassembly X 2
misc cleaning, scrubbing, bead blasting, painting

Will someday be a great track car.

On the new-to-me 78:

6 gallons of gas
iso-propypl, fi cleaner
Mobil 1 oil/filter
New stock air filter
titened misc hose clamps, checked for leaks
complete vacuuming/wash/misc sticker removal
New brake pads, rotors, fluid (LF caliper enroute)
Scrubbed/cleaned phone-dials
cleaned window switches
Fresh tranny fluid enroute
New hood/hatch shocks enroute
New set of S-03's enroute

Can't wait to get this one on the road.

timing belt replacement and retention (did the retension myself), hood struts. RMB, New front floor mats (the old ones were warn out so this qualifies as a "repair", these are black with red "928 GT" lettering and the look great), rear tires.

Bought a set of cast hole rotors, shoes, pads and sensors for the winter project.

I am still NUTS about this car, even after all these years......

Well ok where to start.
I bought my car in March of this year and went right to work on her.
- Replace pass. door panels
- Replace center consoul
- Repair heating controls ( nasty one ) The auto controls had been removed and old manual controls had been hacked in place
- Repair wirering and fusepanel
- Repair both power seats
- Remove tranny, TT and rear suspention to tap new threads in the bolt holes that hole said assembly to the car. It was missing 3 bolt all stripped (very scary)
Cry and scream when I find out Tranny is the wrong one for my car. (84 euro with a 79 us 3spd)
- Pull rear guater panels and wacth the crumble to dust under the leather.(more crying)
- Pull motor
- Disasemble motor find origonal water pump and 2 frozen bearings on idelers. Find water pump impeller has hit the block a few time ( its ok still thank god) Find broken stud on oil pump pully hanging on buy two threads(lots of praying and being very thanksfull at this point)
- Headers on the block but block still on engine stand
-New exhaust (no cats its a euro we dont want no stinking cats)
_ other then that a few small repairs to light and cluster like the od gear and all new lights

So as of today the trany is back in the car (Yes the wrong on) along with the TT. Motor is still on the stand waiting for me to make some money and buy the rest of the parts I need. I did get to drive the car this year. I went out with a local group to a dyno day where i put down measured numbers of 225.4HP@6000rpms and 242.2FT-LB tourqe at 4200rpms and to a import drag where i ran mid 15's on the 1/4 mile.

Thruston Pritchard.
