Wink Fuel reserve light.

Reserve light lit up about 2 months ago under low fuel condition.
Filled up and it went off.
Since then it will light up at different fuel levels, sometimes goes off by itself, is always off at start up. I purposely ran low on fuel 4 times as a test and it still lights up under low fuel condition.
Any ideas why that puppy would intermittently light up?
I get that momentary twinge of panic when it lights up thinking I have a loose belt warning...
then I remember the Weissach does not have that feature...duh.

John,

If I read the electrical schematic correctly, the yellow and black wire at the sending unit goes though the H block connector then on to the central warning unit and dash warning light. Try checking for loose/corroded connections. Also, check the (L shaped?)connectors at the sending unit to make sure they aren't intermittantly touching each other.
