What is combustable in this area to cause the damage from a fire?
He sent me 2 pictures in a Winzip file, and I can't figure out how to get them to post. It would be a waste of time anyway, as they are both close ups of the radiator and electric fan. You can't see the engine or damage at all. I've also noticed he really hasn't shown the damaged side of the vehicle on Ebay either. This is starting to set off a little alarm in the back of my head. He's hiding something, IMHO.

This is what he sent in reply to my request of picures of the engine compartment with the hood open.
I have a problem with sending money to NY for a car in FL. I would prefer to pay cash for it when picked and take the title then too. Maybe I'm being over cautious? I bought my first shark on e-bay, met the seller, paid cash and he ended the auction early.

I think better to see that car before buying. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="wink.gif" />
Anyway, previous bad taste in members of the opposite sex not withstanding, the owner of the toasted '84 in question has kindly offered to deliver the car to my house for $1200 .
Does this sound like a good idea, or am I just kidding myself?
