Post Old bugger sale values

Based upon these descriptions- please assist me in ascertaining the resale value of my 78.

Car # 120. 1978 metalic blue 928.

All new top end gaskets, Ceramic coated powder blue intake spider with silver crests (yellow), all new hosesand clamps, belt, new plugs, new cap and rotor, replaced all fluids with new porsche recommended brands. Transaxle has been gone through- new seals and gaskets added.
Interior: new ignition, new power window switches, all power options work. Black leather seats, drivers needs some work, back seat (drivers side) needs a couple sections reworked),
otherwise clean.
Exterior- straight, some small chips and scratches that come with age- no major or outsatnding defects.
could use all new window gaskets.
New Zrated tires set on phone dials. Dials have met the curb before- so there are some flaws to them- but they are not out of round.
Rockford Fosgate MP3 player (new)- Boston acoustic 6.5inch woofers run through infinity crossovers with boston tweeters.
(the belt listed above refers to timing belt)

I would start at around $6,000.00 Haven't seen the lastest EXCELLENCE market value. I would go with a pristine price and then what would you take off for items that may need to be replaced. like brakes, shocks, muffler.
DO you have all reciepts for the repairs you have done. I personally don't count a stereo and an upgrade. (my Borla no cat is music to my ears).
Are the wheels polished or painted. spiff them up young'ins like nice wheels think they like stereos too.
Spend a day with a box of cu-tips.
I look at regular service items down to what condition the brake fluid, power steering, radiator over flow, is in. If the guy really takes care of a car mechanicaly I would be more apt to pay the asking or closer to it.

Sorry for the abstract opinion. Proud owner of "GATOR" 78 928 silver 5-speed #347 not for sale

And a few months older than mine. I will start preping mine for painting next month. Looking at complete disassembly and take both coats of paint off. Original and P.O. botch job which I have been living with for the last 9 years. It didn't look to bad the first 2 years.
Might I ask why you are selling it? Some how I have a feeling or hope that these O.B.'s will start going up in value. Maybe when mine is the last one on earth.

I bought it as an investment- When the prices go up this summer, i will advertise it locally for sale. If it doesnt sell, i won't be heartbroken.

I'd really like to get into something with around 400 HP- so im working my way up. i started with a 81 Scirocco, built it to 250 HP, bought this Porsche- but it's not worth plugging the money into to achieve this goal. So i'll sell, and reinvest (in Porsche of course).
